JALYX dinner
hmmm. this has got to be one of the most unproductive holidays i've had in a long time. one week is somehow an odd length of time, not considered very long but then again it dint pass very fast either. i vaguely remember doing some work, playing a little yet both wasnt done to an ideal extent so everything ended up slackish. darn. the drive that took me through Os need to return soon. term two is looming.the highlight of this week, i must admit, has got to be canoe trainings. (: headed to the waters thrice in five days, completed 450 push-ups within this span of time. the girls' team is really a great bunch of ppl, snrs and fellow J1 canoeists make every training survivable. yesterday was quite thrilling, went on a K-2 at last. haha expectedly tasted a lot of macritchie water but it's a delightful feeling to be able to balance and paddle a few hundred metres, considering my partner and i had no prior experience on this challenging boat. canoe really brings this inexplicable feeling of energy rush.
headed to J8 for a rare clique gathering, where every member of JALYX, who're now scattered in five different parts of the island, were actually present. haha punctuality has never been our forte. :D so we settled at crystal jade for dinner, then with everyone feeling rather high, dessert at Häagen-Dazs followed. my very first trip to this lovely ice-cream place - two scoops midnight cookies and cream + strawberry cheesecake with jia. (: we exchanged stories, traded laughs, shared troubles, contributed advice and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and light-hearted affair. really glad we found time to meet up, haha and it's amazing how we've transformed into sportsgirls, with ling in fencing, kf in hockey, jia, xp and i in canoe/kayak. no matter wad JALYX will be inseparable.
in less than twenty-four hours, life at the hc campus gets a fresh start.
